Thanks to everyone for an excellent start back to school! Our students returning knew their routines and was able to quickly get back into their schedules. Our new students are learning and it's sweet to see how kind everyone is.
Our staff this year includes Miya Kim, Marlene Slomp and Mary Anthony and they are all amazing!
Setting goals at our first ISP meetings will be on October 6 & 7. I will be in touch this week with your day and time.
Music therapy will be starting on September 19, and adapted gym will start September 14. We will be including weekly swimming on Tuesday afternoons starting in October. We will be joining with Mrs. Wells grade 3 class for weekly communication circles, as well as weekly literacy bingos which will all start in October. This year Mr. Ward Huckabay will be our Fine Arts teacher and we have already started drumming and some hip hop dancing.

Week of September 12-16
We are collecting toonies for Terry Fox this week and our run will be held Monday, Sept. 19.
Literacy focus is being kind and how to be a friend using the book STICK AND STONE. We also will be sorting and sequencing with the book THE OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED SOME BOOKS. We will work on daily letter sounds and building alphabet crafts plus writing and reading beginner readers. We review the Zones Of Regulation and emotion games and books.
Numeracy focus is Sorting and Classifying as well as counting. We will be working on addition and subtraction word problems.
Monday- Guest Teacher Mrs. Baumback in the afternoon as I will be in LST Meetings. M&M Meats BBQ starts at 5pm, please come join us if you can :)
Tuesday-
Wednesday- Adapted Gym with Erin Bennet. First Learning Commons visit and students will be able to take out books which will need to be returned on Tuesdays.
Thursday- Computers
